Great vision, amazing food, super nice people!  Heidi and Tami catered my son's rehearsal dinner and wedding this past weekend.  I had a vague idea of a Spanish theme for the rehearsal dinner and they made it come to life!!  The food was spectacular and all the unique touches really made the event feel authentic and not "theme-y".  The passed apps at the wedding were sooo good and the meal delicious.  The presentation was beautiful and their staff couldn't be nicer.  So, not only was the food innovative, memorable and incredibly good - but they were so great to work with and to be around - their positive energy is infectious.  This is a group of people you will want to work with!!!

It was basically love at first sight/bite when we had our initial tasting with Tami and Heidi. My fiance and I put delicious food at the top of our wedding day priority list and were immediately blown away by the caliber and quality of the food Heidi prepared for us. After tasting the best mac and cheese EVER, a huge display of grilled fresh veggies, and seriously delicious + juicy chicken, we both left knowing Flora & Fauna was the only choice for our big day. We are both incredibly picky when it comes to food and going with these gals was the easiest decision we made regarding wedding vendors. We liked them so much we even asked them to cater our rehearsal dinner (friends are STILL gushing about their fried chicken sliders).

And F+F hit it out of the park and down the street for the wedding. We had about 120 guests and everyone complimented the food. Even our biggest foodie friends raved about the meal and the presentation, and especially how all-around awesome Heidi, Tami, and staff were.  They executed flawlessly for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding, even when there was a bit of a snafu with the rentals. The gals were a huge part of making our wedding dreams come true and they exceeded our very high expectations in every way.

Throughout the planning process, they were incredibly good at communicating with us and took the time to email me back about every question I had, big or small. They were always friendly and helpful. We worked with them to design a menu that felt like "us," and it was so much fun to hand-pick the meal we'd be serving at the biggest party of our lives. We were also very stoked that they support local farms to source the very best ingredients. Kevin and I felt great about supporting not only badass female business owners, but local farmers as well. Like I said, everything about F+F felt right from the very beginning. 

Tami and Heidi worked so hard to make it a magical day for us from the very beginning and we could not be more grateful for their time, talent, and delicious food.

If you are looking for a caterer in the SLO area, you have found them. Flora & Fauna catered my wedding in Santa Margarita and were absolutely incredible. 

From beginning to end, Heidi and Tami went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. The food was DELICIOUS, we got so many compliments from our wedding guests. Everything is fresh and local, which makes a huge difference. They crafted the menu just for us, which was super creative and fun. No boring, basic wedding fare here - such a refreshing change from all the other options in the area! 

Our wedding was on a rustic ranch for 90 people, and F&F had no problem making everything beautiful, organized and easy. They had a staff of 5, including the bartender managing everything and it honestly felt like a team of 20 working. They even helped organize a post-ceremony toast with a special snack. Their rates are incredibly reasonable and worth every penny.

From the beginning both Heidi and Tami truly understood our vision and helped us execute it perfectly. They are both really awesome, easy to talk to and extremely helpful. Out of all the caterers I communicated with, F&F were the only ones to respond with a thoughtful email and an offer for a tasting.

"Jackpot, right here.  The finest gustatory pleasures I've had and best catering I've seen- and we were blessed enough to discover these pleasures at our own wedding!  We had a good feeling about these guys from the start, but it only kept getting better from there.  An astounding amalgamation of professionalism yet good down to Earth people, with visionary and creative culinary excellence.  Chef Heidi is a truly passionate artist of the palate.  And best of all, all is done with a leading edge of healthful, sustainable, local and delicious eating that should make anyone proud to be of California.

These girls (Heidi and Tami) and their people went far beyond what we were expecting in either product or performance.  They were doing research/scouting far ahead of the date, helping us organize and envision the event, tailoring a menu and spread to our own tastes and fancies.  My bride and I felt a bit under-prepared for the reception, but everyone spoke about how perfect it was.  I think it it was the remembrances of the striking spread and the delicious eats everyone was lost into.  The beautiful botanical centerpieces Tami made were stunning- everyone who couldn't take one home at least took pictures.

We were fortuitous to have found such seasoned chef-artists fresh their new start gracing the Central Coast with their new home and base of trade.  In the end, their tremendous aptitude and hard work went a very long way to make our day special.  Very grateful."
